The Story:
[Fade in from black]
The story begins with a close up of a king sitting on his golden throne.
His servants are kneeling next to him, motionless.
Everything appears to be frozen in the dark forest.
The King of the Dark Forest spends all his time sitting and staring at a broken flower stem on the floor.
But on this particular day, a very bright light emerges through the thick shrubbery and shines directly into the King’s palace.
He has never seen anything like this before.
Immediately, curiosity grabs a hold of him.
He descends from his throne and tries to touch the beam of light shining directly in front of him.
He realizes that the beam of light is shining from up above, so he orders his servants to build him a ladder up into the heavens.
His servants stack up one on top of the other, like Chinese acrobats.
As the king climbs the ladder, he notices that the light’s origin is far beyond from where he thought.
The light is shining down from a heart shaped cloud in the sky.
He immediately gives an order for a higher ladder to be built.
As the King nears the heart shaped cloud, a comet crashes into the man made ladder.
Somehow, he manages to take a hold of the cloud.
He pierces through the bottom of the cloud and notices that the light is actually coming from an open window inside of a castle that was hidden away within the cloud.
Inside this window, in a room high above the castle, stands a beautiful maiden, the Starlet.
She is wearing a sparkling golden dress, gazing at this mysterious stranger who has somehow found her castle.
As the King approaches the castle, he sees the beautiful glowing starlet in her room and they both lock eyes, with an intense longing for each other.
Suddenly, there is a flash of bright light.
The king is now on his throne, with the beautiful starlet on his lap.
She illuminates his dark forest.
